I am a business owner and mother of four, who plays hard, works hard, and rarely sleeps. I've always enjoyed creating art, particularly drawing and painting. My main influence is my family. I grew up surrounded by art, and had successful artist, Rosella Kelly, as my grandmother. I have her name as my middle name and I sign my art using my middle name so that every time I finish a painting I think of her. I am so grateful that she passed her gift on to me and so many others in my family. When I was a child I lived and breathed art. After high school I had my daughter and got busy working and going to school. I still picked up a pencil or brush here and there but it was rarely inspired and I hardly ever finished. For a long time I felt that I'd lost my creativity. My main inspiration now is my mother. She too was always busy, but always found time to create. I grew up watching her and it always motivated me to keep trying to find time. She always made me feel that art was important. I recently became the owner of Kidz Town and part of my business is providing children's entertainment, including henna, face paint and balloon sculpting. This career path has sparked creativity in all aspects of my life. The ideas and inspiration pour out of me and I want to create more each day. I realize now that I always wanted to be a full time artist, and now I am, whether I am doing it for my business or for me. What you see in my art is my own personal creative outlet. It is the art I do for myself, and would continue to do whether I sell it or not, and whether other people like it or not. Fortunately I receive encouraging feedback and support and have decided to share my art with anyone who cares to share the journey with me. I am currently pursuing a Minor in Studio Art
